Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble polymer recognized for its effective flocculation performance. It is classified into four ionic types: non-ionic, anionic, cationic, and amphoteric. PAM is applied as a flocculant in municipal sewage, organic wastewater, tap water treatment, and sludge dewatering. It also serves as a performance enhancer and additive in papermaking, an additive in oilfield operations, and a settling aid for sand washing wastewater.
