Description
EDI membrane working principle
Electrodeionization (EDI) is a new type of membrane separation technology formed by the combination of electrolysis and ion exchange, using this technology eliminates the need for chemical regeneration
and can continuously produce high-quality ultra-pure water.
EDI two-end classification has positive and negative electrodes, after power generation, the electric field
makes the water ions in the water exchange membrane interface separation H+ and OH-, and continuously regenerate the pure water in the ion exchange membrane.
The ions in the ion exchange membrane are continuously regenerated through the process of ion exchange, and the corresponding negative ions are attracted through the ion exchange membrane towards the direction of the corresponding positive ions. When these ions pass through the exchange membrane into the pure water chamber, H+ and OH- recombine to form water. This kind of H+ and OH- production, combination and attraction is the mechanism by which the ion exchange membrane achieves continuous regeneration.
